How tasteless is the media, especially the liberal press that is about 90% of it, especially these "cartoons" that are not in the least funny. And I am a pro-choice conservative.

I guess Bristol is the only under aged kid to ever get pregnant. I'm also sure that no one has ever had sex before their 18th birthday. Hey people, leave the kid alone, she made a mistake and now the entire world knows. And yes, Alaska does have birth control and education.
I say keep Bristol out of this political hooplah and let her try to enjoy the fact that her mother is the breath of fresh air that America has been waiting for.
MEDIA. STAY AWAY FROM THE CHILDREN OF ALL THE CANDIDATES. THEY ARE OFF LIMITS.

Agree with the above comments. Media, leave us kids alone. (Apology to "Pink Floyd")

There are so many things wrong in your blog that I really don't know where to start, but I will comment on one of your statements that really got me to laughing. You are concerned about Gov. Palin's lack of experience with foreign policy...... she's only running for VP. What should concern you is Baraka's lack of experience with foreign policy... he's running for the Presidency. Also, for all the Dems out there who do seem concerned with her supposed lack of experience.... where was that concern when Bill Clinton was running for President? The Gov of Alaska deals with a lot more than the Governor from a backwater state like Arkansas. Once again your hypocrisy is overwhelming.

I think they're funny. Especially the one from John Sherffius, Colorado, Boulder Daily Camera (Juneau/Juno) and the one above
from Nate Beeler. You've got to laugh because what "choice" do we have if this woman ends up as VP! Be afraid, be very afraid!

I just read the most recent Cagle newsletter featuring the unplanned Palin pregnancy. All of you should be ashamed of yourselves. Each of you has used a personal family issue to generate tasteless humor and pad your pockets. I hope that none of you had had to face a similar situation. I can assure you that your approach would have been very, very different.
Shame, shame. There is a plethora of public issues that provide meat for you to feed on. Try to show some class in the future. By the way, I am not a Republican, only a concerned American.

Bristol Palin is not running for anything. Leave her alone and focus on her mother who is a politician and running for public office.

I have been attempting to unsubscribe since your Palin Putdowns have begun. I am old enough and savy enough to grasp that when a political person does not 'conform' to the Typical Political Person mold - the personal attacks will begin. However, this is a 17 year old child - she is not running for office. It is disgusting, immature and just plain wrong.
I will not even bother to check out the cartoons - I don't have to step in dog piles to know it is smelly, vile and dirty - I don't have to view the cartoons - to know they are insulting and just plain wrong. Political Cartoons, Free Speech - Wrong. There are lines of common sense, common decency, libel and slander - and this time the media is Wrong.

You are a big and take me off your e-mail list. It is a disgrace to post and send out such defamatory cartoons and pieces of rotten journalism. I am going to join America in boycotting CNN, MSNBC and you.

It is entirely inappropriate and completely disgraceful for the press or anyone else to bring the children of either party's candidates into play. It has no bearing on issues or the campaigns. It hurts the families and it scars the children. A high price to pay for a cheap shop from people who seemingly have no moral compass. How would you like your family's picadillos brought into the public forum? Idiots.

This collection of disturbed drawings, I won't honor them with the title cartoons, is probably the most vicious examples of hate I have ever seen.
Sir, I hold you in contempt for your lack of human decency.

I have been unable to have a comment posted for months. Not sure how to do so, but I'll try now. I agree that the children of candidates should be off limits. Last I knew, none were vying for any political office. The comments about Mrs. Palin's daughter are really disgusting, and coming from the religious right, it makes me think they are not so God fearing as they pretend to be. Grow up, and remember your own roots, mistakes and all. Despite your opinions, we were all created equal, weren't we??

Glennis--The press didn't bring the children into play. The MOTHER brought up the pregnancy and made it a story.

While in the past the Children of the candidates were not available, the "outing" of Vice President Chaneys daughter was the opening shot
(a media cheap shot). I am very proud of Gov.Palin, and her stance that life is precious, and she has taught her daughters the same lesson. As for the media. Leave the poor girl alone, she's got enough on her plate to handle( an other cheap shot).her mother had to announce the pregnancy because the Left Wing blogisphere had the information and in their usual heavy handed attempt at journalism were going to slander this poor girl and spread this garbage all over the internet.

I do not agree family is off limits. When family members publicly campaign for the candidate they become a target. However, if they are not speaking out then they should NOT be a target. Chelsea Clinton was campaigning for her mother subjecting herself to any question asked. Cindy McCain can be asked about her fortune, the candidate’s 96 year old mother can be questioned. Obama’s daughters should be off-limits but not his wife. The same for Biden.
The cartoonists think anything is gane because they think they’re funny. They’re wrong. I don’t understand why we haven’t seen anything funny about the Down’s syndrome baby. That would be really funny. How about McCain’s Bangladesh daughter? You folks have just tipped a razor close election to favor McCain. Clinton supporters and mothers throughout the land are going to show you. Way to go. By-the-way, please remove me from your mailing list.
