Unfortunately this energy shortage is self inflicted by North Americans. With smaller cars, there would be no shortage or high prices at the moment. The British are pay $2.40 a litre and the Europeans also are very high priced. It is time for North Americans to stop complaining and fix the problem.

Yep son, we did it to ourselves. President Jimmy Carter started us on our way to energy self sufficiency with a comprehensive energy plan. Senile President Ray-guns cancelled the program and no president since then has come up with a real plan. The Bush-league guy's plan to convert food to fuel has failed with millions suffering because of our draw-down of subsidized food for "over population". This crisis might have been avoided if the good folk in Florida knew how to count. Oh well, others now have the chance to screw us some more.

President Carter was and is a joke. Don't blame President Reagan for the gas problem. The democratic congress for the past 20 years has refused to use our own national resources and has paid outlandish prices to our hated enemies the Arabs for their overpriced oil. We reap what we sow and the democrats are the fools and criminals. We need to drill in ANWR and the Rockies, and off-shore. Nuff said.
