Dear Mr Huffaker,

Assalam-o-alaikum,

The address on the post drop box is wrong. Your cartoon was fun until i saw the address 32 Pakistan Rd.

I strongly object to your wild imagination.

Regards,

Faisal

Gen. Clark never said McCain was not a hero!! Read the interview before you draw your inane conclusions!

Gee sALVADOR, didn't you know that Sandy is an Obama supporter

I guess there's a difference between a supporter and a brainless supporter

Mr. Press,

When you retreat to inaccuracies and exaggeration to inflate your point, lose all credibility with those who may be malleable.

Of course those on the far left will suckle your points like a starving newborn, and those on the far right will discard them without a glimmer of consideration, but shouldn't you be appealing to men and women of reason?

Is it ineptitude that drives you to overstep reality to make your point, or is it laziness?

Fact check time.

1.  Bud Day was not a Swift Boater.  In fact, he condemned their questioning of John Kerry's medals and service in Vietnam.  Mr. Day did consistently condemn John Kerry's testimony before congress and Mr. Kerry's criticism of US troops.

2.  Who is the omnipotent figure you imply decides what is ok and not ok to bring up in a campaign?  It seems that you have decided if anyone on the right wing said something was on or off limits, everyone in the media submitted to their decision.  That is ludicrous.

3.  Kerry's service was brought into the campaign by John Kerry himself.  Remember, "Reporting for duty?" or the multiple references to his service by him during the campaign?  Should the right have ignored John Kerry's accusation that US soldiers in Iraq were terrorizing women and children in the dead of night?

4.  George Bush's National Guard Service was extensively investigated.  It was not forbidden to wonder if Bush completed his service but in your article you state it as a fact that Bush did not complete his National Guard service.  I have seen no credible evidence that Bush failed to complete his service.  In fact due to the lack of evidence to substantiate their claim, George Bush haters resorted to fabricating evidence which was pushed forward by Dan Rather without a modicum of common sense vetting.  Once you lie to make your point, you have forfeited all credibility on an issue.

5.  As far as alleged cocaine use, there was never any proof.  Shouldn't we require some proof before a wild accusation is presented as fact?

6.  Again, who is the omnipotent God who has deemed it "OK" to claim Obama is a "gay, American-hating, chain-smoking Muslim".  Are you contending that because an insomniac blogger in his underwear types something at 4:00 am, it is accepted by all of America as "OK"?  Show me where anyone with credibility has promoted these as fact and you will half a point.  Only half a point thought because these accusations are tame compared to the wild accusations thrown out on a regular basis on Barack Obama's OFFICIAL blog site.  I suppose since it is on there, it is "OK" to accuse Bush of orchestrating 9-11.  I suppose since KOS bloggers regularly post that the Holocaust never happened that is "OK" as well.

As far as Wesley Clark's comments go, he is entitled to his opinion, in my opinion.  I think it is silly for him to imply that John McCain's service pales in comparison to Barack Obama's experience.  That is a losing argument and an example of political ineptitude by Wesley Clark.  On the one hand you have John McCain who served honorably as an officer(leadership example), and exhibited valor as a tortured POW(leadership example), and has served decades as a US Senator.  On the other hand you have Barack Obama who has very little service in leadership positions.  He was a community activist before he served quietly in the state legislature, made a terrific speech at the 2004 convention, and was elected to the US Senate in 2006.  How do any of those qualifications trump John McCain's experience?  Where is Barack Obama's experience in making "executive decisions"?

Note to Barack Obama VP wannabee’s - Before you criticize John McCain, make sure your candidates qualifications at least come close matching.

Your cartoon was a blatant lie.   "McCain is no hero" is the exact

opposite of what General Clark said.  His exact words were, "He was a

hero to me and to hundreds..."

As a matter of fact, General Clark might even consider it libelous.

The full quote is printed below.

I think you need to print a correction.

Because in the matters of national security policy making, it's a

matter of understanding risk. It's a matter of gauging your opponents,

and it's a matter of being held accountable. John McCain's never done

any of that in his official positions. I certainly honor his service

as a prisoner of war. He was a hero to me and to hundreds of thousands

and millions of others in Armed Forces as a prisoner of war. He has

been a voice on the Senate Armed Services Committee, and he has

traveled all over the world. But he hasn't held executive

responsibility.
