Tim Russert now and forever the gold standard. God bless you Tim. I will miss our Sunday mornings

Posted By: Linda D  on Monday, June 16, 2008

RIGHT ON!  GOD'S PEACE TO HIS FAMILY - WHAT A TRIBUTE

Posted By: Dawn L  on Monday, June 16, 2008

Tim knew how to make complex political issues easy to understand for regular people like me.  Just like this cartoon shows very simply that Tim was best known as the host of MTP and for his use of the wipe off board.  What a simple, yet powerful tribute to perhaps the last impartial reporter in politics today.  I will certainly miss our Sunday mornings together.  May he rest in peace.

Posted By: Eric Monson  on Monday, June 16, 2008

Your cartoon at the passing of Tim Russert depicting the Meet the Press set and the famous whiteboard as headstone was EXQUISITE!

Poignant while speaking a thousand words in one frame.

Posted By: Camille  on Monday, June 16, 2008

I love this.  It's the perfect tribute.  I'll miss him.

Posted By: Katie D  on Monday, June 16, 2008

Like so many others, all I can say is this is the perfect tribute to Tim Russert. Nothing else has captured "Tim" quite so well.

Posted By: Kirk Gossett  on Monday, June 16, 2008

Simple and to the point. Tim could have loved it.

Posted By: Linda Worth  on Monday, June 16, 2008

There were two people I paid great attention to on Sunday mornings.

"Jesus, our Lord and Savior" and then, Tim Russert on his show,MEET THE PRESS.

I want to thank MSNBC for showing Tim over and over. Losing people in my own family, I needed to see him, over and over, to really believe,he is really gone. The Tribute on Sunday mornings MEET THE PRESS was so wonderful.

                            Thank you for it.

Posted By: Vic Mason  on Monday, June 16, 2008

A great journalist and a fine man.  That's a tribute to the family and community that raised and nurtured him.  May America keep producing such sterling citizens of great character of all backgrounds.

PERFECT!

Posted By: Barb  on Monday, June 16, 2008

I will miss him a lot on the news. He was great and I depended on his comments for politics and also enjoyed his books about his father.  A great man.

Posted By: Randy  on Tuesday, June 17, 2008

"Less is more:"  You captured the entirety of a nation's sadness with an empty TV studio, Tim's signature "whiteboard," and no caption to clutter the stark void.  Beautifully rendered with dignity and respect for the man;  thank you.

Posted By: Joyce Goldberg  on Tuesday, June 17, 2008

This keeps coming into my mind:  "My candle burns at both ends; it shall not last the night.  But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends, it gives a lovely light."  (Edna St. Vincent Millay)  That, to me, describes Tim's life.

Posted By: Jan  on Tuesday, June 17, 2008

The simplicity of this tribute and the impact it has on all of us deserves a Pulitzer Prize.

Posted By: Julie  on Tuesday, June 17, 2008

It says it all.  I teared up as soon I saw it....

Posted By: stevepadilla  on Thursday, June 19, 2008

“What it means is there's a trend toward the Democrats,”

Tim Russert quote

Posted By: Marla  on Thursday, June 19, 2008

Poignant!!  Election year Novembers will never be the same.  May God continue to shine his favor down on his wife, son and all those Tim held so dear as they cope with this loss.  RIP Mr. Russert and thank you.
