More true than the cartoonist may realize... Our local transit system (Which takes pride in not knowing what services the people would use) "Just discovered" that they did not budget in the increased cost of diesel...

If this is supposed to be on the point, it isn't. We know that we Americans are rightfully spoiled, being the richest nation on earth per capita (except for Saudia Arabia and the other oil countires in the East; but there the money goes to the few Sheiks of the ruling classes). And though the greatest part of our wealth does go to the smallest percentage at the top, we do all get a shot at the pot. And that, my freinds, is what the true meaning  of Democracy mens; not that you do get a piece of the pie, but that you do get a shot at it. And if you are tough enough, mean enough, conscienceless enough, you'll make out well enough. Ah well. Welcome to Amerika!
